I wass notified by Laura Searcy about this opportunity. Please consider offering time to assist with this project.

See attached as well.

Carole Jakeway, Chief Nurse of he Department of Public Health has asked for CAPRN's assistance with implementation of a short term, grant funded family planning project which runes through December of this year. The goal of the project is to increase availability and utilization of Long Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARCs) for adolescents and women seen in public health family planning clinics. The project runs through the end of December and they are trying to get most of the clinics scheduled before the end of November. Part of the funding is set aside to buy the products so they'll be available at low to no cost. The remaining funding is to employ temporary hourly APRNs who can insert the devices in health departments without adequate APRN staff.

APRN's who are trained and qualified to perform contraceptive implants and IUD insertions are needed.

Please disseminate this request and the attached posting with details and contact information as soon as possible to your colleagues as this is a very time sensitive project.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!
