Atlanta Chapter United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses

Calling Volunteers

Posted over 9 years ago by Marta Flood

Dear Members,

As we bid farewell to 2014 and begin the New Year, I ask each of you to consider volunteering. There are several opportunities to serve others. Below is one such clinic looking for help. If you have been considering volunteering please contact Dan.

CBWW is a non-profit organization that provides free and low-cost services to empower black women and their families toward physical, mental, and economic wellness. CBWW is located outside downtown Atlanta near Turner Field.

The CBWW Safety Net Clinic provides no cost non-emergency medical care and chronic disease management services for uninsured or under-insured women and men ages 18 and older. We are recruiting volunteer physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, medical assistants, and clerical staff to assist with patient care. The Clinic operates every 2nd and 4th Wednesday (5:00 – 9:00 pm) and Saturday (10:00 am – 2:00 pm) with a minimum commitment of one session per month. Volunteer medical malpractice insurance is covered by the State of Georgia.
