Psychiatric Manifestations of Physical Illnesses

Keynote Speaker: A well-respected physician and educator, Dr. Nzinga Harrison is the Medical Director for Georgia Services, for ANKA Behavioral Health Inc. and a member of the Clinical Adjunct Faculty in the Department of Behavioral Health and Sciences at Emory University. Dr. Harrison has written and presented several articles and workshops on the medical aspects of addiction and other psychiatric disorders. She earned a bachelor's degree from Howard University in 1998 and a medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania's School of Medicine in 2002.

Conference Objectives:

  • Discuss psychiatric symptoms commonly seen with physical disorders
  • Describe red flag physcial symptoms that can be associated with psychiatric disorders
  • Examine specific physical illnesses commonly associated with psychiatric symptoms
