NNEPI: National Nurse Emergency Preparedness Initiative

With the news being filled with stories of natural disasters, the following web page may be of interest to you. It will take you to an online course which you can complete for free or pay $24 to receive continuing education credits to learn about the nursing response to natural disasters and emergencies.

The program is through the Department of Homeland Security and George Washington University and is called the NNEPI: National Nurse Emergency Preparedness Initative. The web page states the program is for nurses who work in hospitals/acute care, schools, public health, ambulatory care, hospice/palliative care, long-term care, occupational health, and home health settings.
