Support for Jamaican Nurses Affected by Hurricane Melissa

Posted about 8 hours ago by Kristina Lemene

Dear UAPRN members,

We are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica. As nurses, we understand the unwavering commitment it takes to care for others, even while facing personal hardship.

The United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (UAPRN) of Atlanta would like to extend our support by sending motivational Christmas gifts to the nurses at Black River Hospital and Cornwall Regional Hospital—two facilities that have been among the hardest hit. These nurses continue to serve their patients with dedication despite their own losses.

We invite you to join us in this effort. Donations will be used to provide a meaningful gesture of encouragement to our colleagues during this challenging season.

If you wish to contribute, please send your donation via Zelle to uaprnatlanta@gmail.com.  Arrangements will be made to ensure that the funds are delivered to the nursing directors at these hospitals.

Together, we can make a difference for those who continue to care for others when they, too, are in need.

Warm regards,
United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Atlanta Executive Board
