Job Details – Nurse Practitioner (Mother/Baby) in Kennesaw, GA

• Location: Kennesaw, GA 30144 (Atlanta metro area)
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner (Travel Contract)
• Healthcare Setting: Mother/Baby Unit
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (1/1/2026 – 3/31/2026)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12 Hour Shifts
• Patient Encounters per Shift: 14
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $3,390 – $4,010
• Local Candidates Only: Travel expenses are not covered

Nurse Practitioner Qualifications

• Active Georgia Nurse Practitioner license required
• Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) with experience in Mother/Baby care
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Board Certification or Board Eligible as a Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred (training provided after credentialing)
• Strong commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to mothers and newborns

Key Responsibilities – Mother/Baby Nurse Practitioner

• Deliver comprehensive clinical care to mothers and newborns in the Mother/Baby Unit
• Perform patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Manage approximately 14 patient encounters per shift
• Document all patient care using the Epic EMR system
• Promote continuity of care and ensure patient safety throughout the locum tenens assignment
