It's not just blood, it's liquid life: UAPRN Atlanta Chapter Blood & Platelet Drive

Atlanta simply does not have enough donors to meet the growing needs of our population. In lieu of the recent tragedys, the UAPRN Atlanta Chapter is working with the Atlanta Blood Services (ABS) to promote a blood and platelet drive. 

Attached is an informational sheet on the importance of blood, platelet and apheresis donation as well as Frequently Asked Questions. 

It is important to have adequate iron stores for donation, so please take the time to review the "Temporary Low Iron Deferment" attachment to learn about foods high in iron.

If you are interested in being apart of this very important event, please take the time to complete the Initial Blood/Platelet Donor screening and send back to the ABS.

Lastly, attached is Saturday, November 11th schedule. Use this form to select the appointment times that work best for your schedule. UAPRN Atlanta Chapter officers will be there the entire day to fellowship and provide juice and cookies to our donators, as well as, donate ourselves. Also, please bring some can foods for our can food drive to help feed the homeless for the Thanksgiving holidays.
