MedShare Volunteer Opportunity (March 2019)

Due to the overwhelming response to this months MedShare Volunteer Opportunity, a 2nd event has been added. This time 15 volunteers are needed.

Volunteers will have a rare opportunity to save lives through sorting and packing medical supplies.  Our volunteer session includes a tour of the facility, an orientation on how to identify, sort, and re-box medical supplies, and a short wrap-up sharing the countries that will receive the supplies you packaged, the total number of boxes created, and the number of pounds of product sorted during your session.

On the day of the project, we recommend that volunteers wear casual attire and require closed toe shoes. Beyond this, there is no additional preparation or materials needed in advance. The sort room is climate controlled, but we recommend wearing layers. Free parking is available directly in front of the facility located at 3240 Clifton Springs Road Decatur GA 30034. When volunteers arrive, they may enter through the Volunteer Center entrance located to the right of the building. After which point our coordinators will be available to greet the volunteer group and assist with the sign-in, brief tour, and orientation.
